Clarence Early Roberson, 86, resident of Lilbourn, died April 19, 2011 at his home. He was born February 25, 1925 in Oakland, Mississippi to the late Joseph and Iler Bell Crump Roberson and has lived in Missouri for over 70 years.
He was united in marriage to Emma Mae McFerrin on August 7, 1948 in Piggott, Arkansas who preceded him in death on September 16, 2010.
He was a member of Zion Rock Missionary Baptist Church in Portageville where he served on the Usher Board.
He is survived by five sons and four daughters-in-law; Rev. Raymond and Dorothy Roberson of Nashville, TN, Clarence Roberson, Jr. of Kalamazoo, MI, Sidney and Regina Roberson of East Chicago, IN, Daniel and Bertha Roberson of Lilbourn and Andrew and Carla Roberson of Mesquite, TX, four daughters and two sons-in-law, Martha Frazier of Waterloo, IA, Naomi and A. T. Evans of Malden, Terri Roberson of Portageville, and Yvette and Larry Burrage of Nashville, TN, 38 grandchildren, 57 great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Friends may call Saturday, April 23, 2011, from 11:00 A. M until the funeral hour of 12:00 noon at the Zion Rock Missionary Baptist Church in Portageville with the pastor, Rev. Robert Anderson officiating. Interment will follow in the Mason Cemetery in Point Pleasant.
