Brett Epps Thomas, 43, resident of Charleston, formerly of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at the Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. He was born June 8, 1967 in Charleston to the late Charlie Frank Carthell and the late Queen Esther Thomas.
He was employed by Quality Packing for over 15 years retiring due to health reasons. He was also a member of Rhema Word Breakthrough Ministries from 2001-2003.
He is survived by two daughters, Jessica Neal of Cape Girardeau and Queen Neal of Charleston, nine brothers, Sylvester Epps of Cartersville, GA, Henry George Thomas of St. Louis, Danny Thomas, Dennis Thomas, John Thomas and Chedowry Thomas of Charleston, Eric Thomas, Wilbur Gillespie and Aaron Thomas of Sikeston, five sisters, Annie Bell, Margie Thomas and Danita Thomas of Charleston and Gwendolyn Thomas and Lisa Lane of Sikeston, two grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Friends may call Sunday, May 15, 2011 from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral hour of 2:00 p.m. at the Bowden Civic Center in Charleston with Reverend Charles Epps officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Charleston.
