Lillian Maxine Scott Horton, 68, resident of Charleston died July 3, 2011 at the Charleston Manor Skilled Nursing Facility in Charleston. She was born December 07, 1942 in Thompson Bend, MO the daughter of the late Clarence and Lillian Rush Scott.
She was formerly employed by the Charleston Country Club as a cook and a member of Holy Trinity Church of Deliverance in Charleston.
She is survived by three sons and one daughter-in-law, Clayton and Leona Scott of Rockford, IL, Ronnie Scott of Charleston and Dale Horton of Phoenix, AZ, three daughters and one son-in-law, Margaret Scott and Loretta and Gene Rodgers of Charleston and Fredia Scott of Sikeston, nine brothers, Roy Scott of Chicago Heights, IL, Fred Scott of Rockford, Marvin Scott of Cape Girardeau, Bobby Scott, Alvin Scott, Dennis Thomas and John Thomas of Charleston, Eric Thomas and Aaron Thomas of Sikeston, seven sisters, Dorothy McCall of Rockford, Elsie White of Country Club Hills, MO, Virgie Henry, Mary Farmer, Angela Thomas, and Denita Thomas of Charleston and Gwendolyn Thomas of Sikeston, a special friend, Clyde Mays of Charleston, nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Friends may call Saturday, July 9, 2011from 11:00 A. M. until the funeral hour of 12:00 noon at the Bowden Center in Charleston. Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.
