Aaron Davis, Sr.

Aaron Davis, Sr., 70, resident of Sikeston formerly of Wilson City, died July 20, 2011 at the Bertrand Nursing Facility. He was born March 19, 1941 in Wyatt the son of the late Anthony Victor Davis and Rebecca Williams Gant.

He was the owner of Aaron’s Grocery Store in Wilson City and was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses of Sikeston.

He was united in marriage on April 17, 1959 to Carlena Gordon.

He is survived by five sons and one daughter-in-law, Aaron Davis, Titus and Christine Davis, Stephen Davis and Philip Davis of Cape Girardeau, and Timothy Davis of Sikeston, three daughters and two sons-in-law, Ramona and Maurice Grimsley of Sikeston, Faith Davis of Lansing, Michigan and Angel and Mark Hamilton of Atlanta, five brothers, Anthony Victor Davis, Jr. of Covert, Michigan, Antione Davis of Lincoln, NE, Arnell Davis of Detroit, Thomas Williams of Roswell, GA, and Walter Gant of Cleveland, Ohio, ten sisters, Thayla Martin of Omaha, NE, Francine Grisham of Novi, Michigan, Jackie Davis of Detroit, Peggy Sloan, Varetta Gant, Arnessa Gant, Lori Ann Gant, Tammar Gant and Nichole Gant of Wilson City and Hypagia Davis of Cairo, 27 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Friends may call Sunday, July 24, 2011 from 12:00 noon until the funeral hour of 2: 00 at the Bowden Civic Center in Charleston with Bro. Willie Grant officiating.
