Leroy Moore

Leroy Moore, 71, resident of Charleston, MO died Friday, September 9, 2011 at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, MO. He was born May 11, 1940 in Charleston to the late Edward and Flora Bell Wilkins Moore.

He attended Lincoln High School in Charleston, received an honorable discharge from the United States Army, and worked at The Ohio Brass for over 25 years.

He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law , Adrian L. and Jennifer Moore of Corpus Christi, Texas, four daughters, Angela Moore-Pinkston and Donna Hall of Mansfield, OH, Darla L. Moore of Akron, OH, and Loretta Moore of Hazelwood, MO, two step-sons, Keith Walker and Kavon Walker of Mansfield, OH, two brothers, Robert Moore and Thomas Moore of Charleston, one sister, Ella Moore of Charleston, his companion, Cassandra Brookins of Charleston, fifteen grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends. In addition to both parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, four sisters, and his wife, Annie Brown Moore.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, September 12, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at the Williams Funeral Chapel in Charleston with Pastor Darren Horrell as the officiant. Interment will follow in Mansfield, OH at a later date.
