Georgia Mae Smith

Georgia Smith, 88, resident of Charleston died September 18, 2011 at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. She was born October 18, 1922 in Como, Mississippi the daughter of the late Wash and Martha Morgan Harris.
She was a member of Holly Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Wyatt and was united in marriage to A. D. Smith who also precedes her in death.
She is survived by three sons and one daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Shirley Smith of Charleston, Sylvester Smith of Farmington and Robert Earl Smith of Buffalo, NY, two daughters, Mary Bogan and Delores Smith of Charleston, one brother, Wash Harris, Jr. of Memphis, TN, 35 grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Friends may call Saturday, September 24, 2011 from 1:00 P. M. until the funeral hour of 2:00 P. M. at the Bowden Civic Center in Charleston with Dr. Ricky Anderson officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.
