Marcus Darnell Mcfarland

Marcus Darnell McFarland, 29, resident of Poplar Bluff died Sunday, December 11, 2011 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. He was born June 9, 1982 in Blytheville, Arkansas to DeTroy McFarland of Chicago and Marie Jones McFarland Jordan of Cape Girardeau.

He was a graduate of New Madrid County Central High class of 2000 where he was active in track and wrestling. He attended Paducah Technical College and was a self-employed electrician.

In addition to his parents he is survived by two sons, Marcus Darnell McFarland, Jr. and Makel Dmari McFarland of Poplar Bluff, one daughter, Le’Aerea McFarland of Atlanta, his step father, Robert Jordan of Cape Girardeau, three brothers, Rodney McFarland of Kennett, MO and Derrick McFarland and Jeffrey McFarland of Cape Girardeau, four sisters, Lekesha Moss and Kenyetta McFarland of Poplar Bluff, Shanika Newsom of Cape Girardeau and Nakia McFarland of Harker Heights, TX, two step sisters, Jacqueline Jordan and Danielle Jordan of Portageville, maternal grandmother, Pearline Jones of Poplar Bluff, paternal grandfather, Willie McFarland of Hickman, KY and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Friend may call Saturday, December 17, 2011 from 12:00 noon until the funeral hour of 1:00 P. M. at New Life Pentecostal Power Deliverance Temple in Caruthersville with the pastor, Rev. Tommy Cobb officiating. Interment will follow in Morgan Ridge Cemetery in Caruthersville.
