Sammie Lee Warfield Underwood

Sammie Lee Warfield Underwood, 75, resident of St. Louis, Missouri, died January 1, 2012 at University City Forest Manor in University City, Missouri. She was born August 25, 1936 in Sikeston, Missouri to the late Robert and Lottie Green Yarber Sr. and lived in St. Louis since 1965.

She was a member of Bethel A.M.E. Church in St. Louis.

She is survived by five sons, John Yarber of Malden, Missouri, Keith Warfield, Freddie Warfield, and Steven Warfield all of St. Louis, and Gary Warfield of Jackson, Missouri, three daughters and one son-in-law, Alexis Warfield and Jolanda Warfield of St. Louis, and Tracey and Warren Smith of Fredericksburg, Virginia, three brothers, R.B. Yarber of Atlanta, Georgia, Isaiah Yarber of Fort Valley, Georgia, and Aaron Yarber of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, one sister, Ella Sumlin of Sikeston, and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Friends may call Saturday, January 7, 2012 from 2:00 p.m. until the funeral hour of 3:00 p.m. at West End Missionary Baptist Church in Sikeston with Elder Calvin Bird officiating. Interment will follow in Warfield Cemetery at Oran, Missouri.
