Sadie Mae Triplett, 71, resident of Charleston died January 16, 2012 at her residence. She was born September 7, 1940 in Clinton, Kentucky to the late Autrey Scott, Sr. and Emma Louise Crumble-Scott of Mayfield, KY.
She was employed by the Charleston Public Schools for 31 years in the Culinary Department before retiring and was a member of St. Paul MB Church in Henson, MO where she served on the Mother’s Board.
On May 12, 1954 she was united in marriage to Willie Triplett, Sr. who preceded her in death on July 31, 1992. One son, Robert Anthony Triplett, Sr. also preceded her in death on April 20, 2004.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Willie and Francine Triplett, Jr. of Charleston, six daughters and four sons-in-law, Julia Thomas of Mayfield, Linda Triplett, Bobbie and Gary Sager, Mary and Harry Hightower, Sandra and Bobby Joe Clark and Lula Machelle and Claude Grant of Charleston, one brother, Autrey Scott, Jr. of Stone Mountain, GA, one sister, Cora Marie Saxton of Mayfield, 21 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren and one great great grand daughter and a host of other relatives and friends.
Friends may call Saturday, January 21, 2012 from 10:00 A. M. until the funeral hour of 11:00 A. M. the Bowden Civic Center in Charleston with Rev. Sylvester Davis, pastor of St. Paul MB Church officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.
