Ada Byrd Pullen

November 14, 1920 — February 15, 2012

Ada Byrd-Pullen, 91, resident of Bell City died Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born November 14, 1920 in Brookhaven, MS to the late Sol and Addie Vaughn Culver.

She was a member Christ Sanctuary Church of God in Christ in Bell City where she served on the Mother’s Board.

She was united in marriage to Spencer Byrd who precedes her in death. She was later united in marriage to Ed Pullen who also precedes her in death. She is also preceded in death by two sons, Jimmy Byrd and Robert Byrd.

She is survived by three sons, Gus Byrd and Bernard Byrd of Newark, DE and Sol Byrd of Bell City, four daughters, Annrell Byrd-Benson, Christella Byrd-Benson and Beverly Byrd of St. Louis and Addie Byrd of Atlanta, GA, 19 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Friends may call Friday, February 24, 2012 from 5:00 P. M. – 8:00 P. M. at Christ Sanctuary Church of God in Christ in Bell City with the funeral services Saturday, February 25, 2012 at the church at 11:00 AM. With the pastor, Elder Ronald Pulley officiating. Interment will follow in the J. C. Pullen Memorial Garden Cemetery in Bell City.
