Pearlene Mitchell Starks

Mrs. Pearlene Starks, 63, resident of Sikeston, died Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at the Clearview Nursing Center in Sikeston. She was born December 22, 1948 in Osceola, Arkansas to the late Lonnie and Nettie Powell Mitchell.

She was united in marriage to James Starks and of the Baptist faith.
She retired from AT & T on November 17, 2000 and relocated to
Sikeston in October 2011.

She is also preceded in death by one brother, Alvin Mitchell.

She is survived by two daughters, Cynthia Starks of Lithonia, GA and Shanetta Starks of Sandy Springs, GA, six brothers, Curtis Mitchell and Larry Mitchell of Chicago, Frederick Mitchell of East St. Louis, IL, Ralph Mitchell of Charleston, Timothy Mitchell of Grays Lake, Il and Richard Mitchell of Wyatt, four sisters, Peggy Joiner of East Prairie, Patricia Carpenter of Charleston, Evelyn Robinson of Chicago and Marilyn Clark of Sikeston, , one granddaughter, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Friends may call Saturday, March 10, 2012 from 1:00 pm until the funeral hour of 2:00 pm at St. Matthew Full Gospel Missionary Baptist Church in Charleston, Missouri with Rev. Larry Mitchell, Sr. officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.

In lieu of flowers the family request to make contributions to the American Cancer Society.
