Lafayette Woods

Lafayette Woods, 50, resident of Cairo died Wednesday, March 14, 2011 at the Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, KY. He was born October 22, 1961 in Cairo ths son of the late Calvin Moses and Dora Branion Woods, Sr.

He was united in marriage to Keeshia Duncan on January 17, 1989.

He is survived by two sons, Lafayette Woods, Jr. and LaMarqus Woods of Cairo, one daughter, Keoshia Woods of Mound City, IL, three brothers, Chico Woods of Cairo and Eugene (Belinda) Woods and Arthur Woods of Kalamazoo, MI, four sisters, Marcha (Ervin) Davis and Luevina Hollis of Cairo, Mary Ann Johnson and Allesha Collins of Indianapolis, IN one uncle Theodore Branion of Cairo, one aunt, Gracie Pittman of Phoenix, AZ and a host of other relatives and friends.

Friends may call Saturday, March 24, 2011 from 11:00 A.M. until the funeral hour of 12:00 noon at Cairo High School with Brother Carl Clark officiating. Interment will follow in Green Lawn Cemetery in Villa Ridge, Illinois with the Williams Funeral Home of Charleston, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
