Hugh “Frank” Davis, 65, resident of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. He was born November 27, 1946 in Macon, Mississippi to the late Matt and Mini Lee Reddin Davis.
He moved to Chicago in 1966 and found employment with Chicago Steele and Illinois Century Railroad. He and his wife, Mary Lou Reddin Davis moved to Cape Girardeau in 1985 where he found employment with the City of Cape Girardeau and later with the Cape Girardeau Public Schools where he retired in 2010.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou Davis, his daughter, Elizabeth Reddin, brothers, Eric Davis, Matt Davis, Jr., and Henry Davis and his sisters, Cora Lee Walls, Suzi May Hodges, Mattie B. Showers and Renee Burke.
He was a member of True Vine Ministries where he was a faithful member and deacon.
On July 4, 2009 he was united in marriage to Shelia Kee who survives of Cape Girardeau.
In addition to his wife he is survived by four sons, Mark Reddin of Wentzville, MO, Joseph Reddin of Florissant, MO, Darryl Reddin and Derrick Reddin of Cape Girardeau, one daughter, Denise Reddin of St. Charles, MO, one brother, Re Davis of Chicago, three sisters, Rosie Ross of MN, and Bertha Davis and Lula Mae Foster of Chicago, seven step children, Ernest Wilkerson of Benton Harbor, MI, Anntonett Wilkerson of Cape Girardeau, Allice Wilkerson of Monroe City, MO, Issac Wilkerson of Killeen, TX, Tervina Wilkerson and Robyn Wilkerson of Columbia, MO, and Williams Wilkerson of Cairo, IL, 45 grandchildren, four great grandchildren.
Friends may call Friday, March 30, 2012 from 12:00 noon until the funeral hour of 2:00 P. M. at True Vine Ministries in Cape Girardeau with Pastor Byron Bonner officiating.. The Williams Funeral Home of Charleston is in charge of arrangements.
