Marilyn G. Dorsey

Marilyn G. Dorsey, 55, resident of Sikeston died Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at her home. She was born December 8, 1956 in Shelby, Mississippi to the late James and Ruby Mae Mercer Dorsey.

She was the owner of Toyland Day and Night Care and a foster parent for the state of Missouri. She was a member of Sikeston Disco Riders M. C. Club and of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by two brothers, Marvin Betts and Frank Allen.

She is survived by three sons, Willekis Dorsey of Kansas City, Missouri, and Emory McCauley III and Trayvon Mitchell of Sikeston, four daughters and one son-in-law, Shareca Dorsey, Ann Dorsey and Adria and Mike Robinson of Sikeston and Stephanie Burpo of Jonesboro, Arkansas, one brother, Bill Standors of Chicago, two sisters, Ceola Betts of Cape Girardeau and Mable Dorsey of Sikeston and ten grandchildren.

Friends may call Saturday, April 21, 2012 from 11:00 A. M. until the funeral hour of 12:00 noon at the West End Missionary Baptist Church in Sikeston with the pastor, Rev. Chester Yarber officiating.

Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
