Pearl Lillian Hicks

Pearl Hicks, 62, resident of Lilbourn died April 18, 2012 at Missouri Baptist Medical Center in Des Peres, MO. She was born December 27, 1949 in Catron to the late Jettie B. and Margaret McCorkle Rowe.

She was a member of First Baptist Church in Howardville where she served as former secretary/treasurer and was employed by New Madrid County Schools as a teacher for 26 years before retiring in 2006.

On February 17, 1968 she was united in marriage to Franklin Hicks who survives.

In addition to her husband she is survived by three daughters, Lynnette Hicks of St. Louis, Sonya Hicks of Atlanta and Robin Rowe of Cape Girardeau, four brothers, Charles Rowe and Cory Rowe of Howardville, Donald Rowe of New Madrid and Tommy Rowe of Malden, three sisters, Joyce Cole of Nixa MO, Clois Taylor of Howardville and Tammy Bell of Marston, four grandchildren, Keilon and Rahkeem Daniels, Arion Mershon and Shekiel Bolin and a host of other relatives and friends.

Friends may call Friday, April 27, 2012 from 6:00 P. M. – 8:00 P. M. at the Williams Funeral Home in Howardville. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at 11:00 A. M. at First Church of God in Lilbourn with Rev. Flem E. Bronner officiating.

Interment will follow in Simmons Park Cemetery in Catron .
