Carlandus Ware, 38, of Cairo died May 6, 2012 at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau, MO. He was born March 6, 1974 in Cairo to the late Carlandus Mallory and Gloria Ware Whitfield of Cairo.
He was a graduate of Cairo High School Class of 1992 and served in the United States Navy receiving an honorable discharge in 1998. He was an employee of Alexander County Public Housing.
He is survived his mother and step father, Gloria and Billy Whitfield of Cairo, his fiancée, Tameka Moore of Cairo, six sons, Carlandus Ware, Jr. of Tuscaloosa, AL, KeVante Ware, Tavarius Ware and Camarion Porter-Ware of Cairo, Undraus Ware of Sikeston, MO and JeSairus Maborn-Ware of Mounds, IL ,four brothers, Mark Tucker of St. Louis, Billy (Alexus) Whitfield, Jr. of Clarksville, TN, Kevin McAllister Cairo and Jonathan Ellis of Omaha, NE, five sisters, Gabriella Ware, Twyla Whitfield, and Kaneesha Mallory of Cairo, Victoria Howard of Austin, TX, Kathie McAllister of Carbondale, IL one step son, Michael Box, Jr, of Cairo, two step daughters, Utaria Box and TyJanae Box of Cairo, his maternal grandmother, Arbell Matthews of Cairo and a host of other relatives and friends including Thomas Griffin of Cairo who was like a brother.
Friends may call Sunday, May 13, 2012 from 10:00 A. M. until the funeral hour of 11:00 A. M. at the Cairo High School with Elder Phillip Matthews officiating. Interment will be Monday morning May 14, 2012 at 11:30 A. M. at the National Cemetery in Mounds City, IL with full military honors with the Illinois National Guard and area veterans with the time to be announced.
