Billie Jean Anderson, affectionately known as Betty, 58, resident of Charleston died May 14, 2012 at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. She was born May 13, 1954 in Osceola, Arkansas to the late Woodrow Anderson and Pearllean Howard Anderson of Texas and has lived in Missouri since 1957.
She was a Certified Nurse’s Assistant for over 20 years and was currently employed at the Bertrand Nursing Center. She was a member of St. Matthews Full Gospel Missionary Baptist Church in Charleston.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by three sons, Michael Anderson of Cape Girardeau and Sidney Pittman and Cedric Anderson of Charleston, two daughters, Alecia Anderson of Cairo, IL and Sonia Anderson of Charleston, five brothers, James Anderson, Woodrow Anderson, Eddie Anderson and Marshall Anderson of Charleston and Lawrence Anderson of Yuma, AZ, seven sisters, Rosie Townsend of TX, Patsy Anderson and Pearllean Anderson of Sikeston, Peggy Anderson, Shirley Anderson and Vienna Anderson of Charleston, and Joyce Anderson of Washington , 22 grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Friends may call Saturday, May 19, 2012 from 1:00 P.M. until the funeral hour of 2:00 P.M. at St. Matthews Full Gospel Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Floyd Wade officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.
