Mary Williamson

Mary Williamson, 101, resident of Sikeston, died Monday, May 21, 2012 at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. She was born February 6, 1911 in Grenada, MS to the late Charlie and Francis Mitchell and has lived in Sikeston since 1957.

She was a member of Travelers Rest Missionary Baptist in Sikeston where she served on the Mother’s Board.

On October 23, 1932 she was united in marriage to Frank Williamson, Sr. who preceded her in death in 1982.

In addition to her husband she is preceded in death by two sons, Ben Williamson and James Williamson, three daughters, Clara Barton, Claudia Williams and Mary Frances Parker.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law; Frank and Diane Williamson of Sikeston and Elijah and Terri Williamson of Tulsa, OK, two daughters and one son-in-law, Essie Mae and William Calvin and Bobbie McCain of Sikeston, two sisters, Lillie B. Tidwell and Margaret Tidwell of Grenada, MS, 41 grandchildren and a hosts of great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, great great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Friends may call Saturday, May 26, 2012 from 11:00 A. M. until the funeral hour of 12:00 noon at Cornerstone Missionary Baptist Church in Sikeston with Rev. Herman Gardner, pastor of Travelers Rest MB Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
