Genevia Baker Jenkins

Genevia Baker Jenkins, 69, resident of Sikeston, Missouri died May 25, 2012 at her home. She was born October 13, 1942 in Bell City, Missouri to the late Walter and Wallee Henry Baker.

She was a graduate of Bell City High School and was a cook for the Bell City Public Schools until her retirement in 2004 after 20 years of service. She was a member of New Morning Star Baptist Church in Haywood City.

She was united in marriage to Wren Rendy Jenkins, Jr. who preceded her in death.
She is also preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda Jenkins.

She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Katie Jenkins of Sikeston, four daughters and one son-in-law, Carrine White and Lara Mickens of Dallas, TX, Nekita and Jeremiah Tucker of Austin, TX and Wallee Byrdof Sikeston, one brother, David Baker of Bell City, three sisters, Rosa “Mickey” of Chicago and Hattie Ward of East St. Louis, IL,and Poncetta D. Baker of Sikeston, MO,
12 grandchildren, five great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Friends may call Saturday, June 2, 2012 at 10:00 AM until the funeral hour of 11:00 AM at West End Missionary Baptist Church in Sikeston with Reverend Alex Sims, Pastor of New Morning Star Baptist Church in Haywood City, Missouri officiating. Interment will follow in J.C. Memorial Garden Cemetery in Bell City with the Williams Funeral Home of Sikeston in charge of arrangements.
