Ollie Spillers, 67, resident of Klondike, IL died on May 26, 2012 at his home. He was born November 16, 1944 in Pinhook, Missouri to the late James and Annie Marshall Spillers.
He retired as a jet engine mechanic from the United States Air Force receiving an honorable discharge.
He was a member of New Pleasant Grove Church in Klondike and was a member of the Cairo United Men’s Choir.
He was married January 15, 2003 to Minister Deborah Johnson Spillers who survives of the home. He was also survived by one son, Ollie Spillers, Jr. of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, two daughters, Deborah Purdiman of Madison, Illinois and Patrice Spillers of Charleston, South Carolina, two brothers, Alever Spillers and Larry Spillers both of Milwaukee, two sisters, Hester Spillers of Aurora, Illinois and Carrie Jeffro of Milwaukee, 11 grandchildren, one great grandchild and a host of other relatives and many friends.
Friends may call Thursday, May 31, 2012 at 10:00 am until the funeral hour at 11:00 am at the Williams Funeral Chapel in Charleston, Missouri with
Bishop Paul Jones , pastor of New Beginning United Freewill Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow in the National Cemetery in Mound City, Illinois with full military honors. The Williams Funeral Home in Charleston is in charge of arrangements.
