Murry Lee Asberry, 83, resident of Sikeston, Missouri died May 30, 2012 at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. He was born May 23, 1929 in Anniston, Missouri to the late Will Asberry and Charlotte Scott McCline.
He attended the Charleston Public Schools and confessed a belief in Christ at an early age. He pursued the field of timbercutting and loved the outdoors.
He is survived by three daughters and one son-in-law, Carolyn Young Harris and Bud Harris of Charleston, Missouri, Lisa Wimbeley of St. Louis, Missouri, and Sederia Asberry Robinson, two brothers, G.H. McCline of Las Vegas, Nevada and Gloster McCline of Charleston, two sisters, Ruby Dowell of Wyatt, Missouri and Emma Jean Beaty of Benton Harbor, Michigan, five stepsons, George Moss, Jr. of Cairo, Illinois, Derrick Moss of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Rodney Moss of California, and Felix Hill, Jr. and Leslie Harrington of Chicago, Illinois and three stepdaughters, Tammy Dixon of Charleston, Kathy Moss Howard of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Florence Moss of Sikeston, and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren and other relatives and many friends.
Friends may call Saturday, June 9, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. for a memorial service at the Williams Funeral Chapel in Charleston. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.
