Peggy Lee Blissett

Peggy Lee Blissett, 58, resident of Sikeston, Missouri died June 3, 2012 at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. She was born February 26, 1954 in Dorena, Missouri to Louis Van Montjoy, Sr. of Sikeston and the late Katherine Dickson-Montjoy.

She was a graduate of Sikeston High School Class of 1972. Peggy worked for 20 years at Sells Nursing Home in Matthews, Missouri and five years at Tri-County In-Home Service.

She was a devoted member of Divine Temple Church of Oran.

Peggy married Ted Blissett on March 23, 1973, who survives of the home.

In addition to her husband and father, she is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law, Courtney and Katrice Blissett and Ted and Carisa Blissett, Jr. of Sikeston, and Adrian Blissett of Fulton, Missouri, one stepdaughter, Kardia Pickney of Burbank, California, three brothers, Marshall Montjoy and Kim Montjoy of Sikeston and Frankie “Tony” Montjoy of Huntsville, Texas, and five sisters, Shirley Sanders and Karen Montjoy of St. Louis, Missouri, Cathy Holly of Seattle, Washington and Frances Montjoy of Huntsville, Texas and Monica Jackson on Huntsville, Alabama, eight grandchildren, a host of nephews, nieces, in-laws, lifelong friends and family.

Friends may call Saturday, June 9, 2012 at 11:00 am until the funeral hour of 12:00 noon at Divine Temple Church in Oran, Missouri with Pastor Michael Blissett officiating. Interment will follow in Divine Temple Memorial Garden Cemetery in Oran.
