Altee Johnson

Altee Johnson, 72, resident of Howardville, Missouri died June 4, 2012 at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. She was born August 11, 1939 in Portageville, Missouri to the late Lusher and Iodia Wheeler Johnson, Sr.

She was employed at Plastene Supply Company in Portageville for 25 years and she also worked at Swift Company in Dexter, Missouri.

In 1953, she joined the First Baptist Church in Catron Missouri. She also served on the Usher Board at House of Deliverance in Portageville. She was an Eastern Star with Chapter Rock of Ages.

She is survived by one son and one daughter-in-law, Bruce and Khadijah Johnson of Richmond, Virginia, two daughters Sandra Daniels of Howardville, Missouri and Suprena Johnson of St. Louis, Missouri, one brother, Bobby Johnson of Flint, Michigan, three sisters, Ophelia Beane of Bernie, Missouri, Iola White of Flint, and Mary Johnson of Howardville, and one adopted sister, Juanita Dukes of Grand Rapids, Michigan, six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, other relatives and many friends.

Friends may call Saturday, June 9, 2012 at 11:00 am until the funeral hour of 12:00 noon at a church to be announced in later. Interment will follow in Simmons Park in Catron, Missouri.
