Franklin Robinson McFerren, 55, resident of Lilbourn died Sunday, June 17, 2012 at his home. He was born April 3, 1957 in Lilbourn to the late Franklin D. Robinson and Pauline McFerren Robinson of Chicago.

He attended Lilbourn High School where he was a graduate of the 1975 class. He was an outstanding athletic excelling in basketball and softball.

After graduating he attended Arkansas State University in Jonesboro and Lincoln University in Jefferson City, Missouri.

He was employed by Digby’s Detective and Security Agency in Chicago before retiring and was a member of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Lilbourn.

On May 9, 2003 he was united in marriage to Cathola Ann Smith who survives of the home.

In addition to his wife and mother he is survived by three sons, Franklin Delano McFerren, Jr. of Chicago, Marcus Price of Austin, TX and Rhylin Price of Killeen, TX, three daughters, LeKesiah Patterson serving with the U. S. Navy in South Fork, VA, Dana Frazier of Howardville and Brionna Hill of Chicago, one brother, Bruce Allen Robinson of Chicago, three sisters, Vanessa Moore, Valerie Porter and Myra Robinson of Chicago, 19 grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Friends may Saturday, June 23, 2012 from 12:00 noon until the funeral hour of 1:00 at the New Madrid Baptist Church located at 1240 Scott St. with Rev. Earnest Willis officiating. Interment will follow in the Sand Hill Cemetery in New Madrid with the Williams Funeral Home of Howardville in charge of arrangements.
