Phillip Rodgers, 58, resident of Charleston died July 5, 2012 at his home. He was born January 4, 1954 in Charleston to the late Bryant and Amanda Moore Rodgers.
He was a 1972 graduate of Charleston High School and a member of St. Matthews Full Gospel Missionary Baptist Church in Charleston.
He was united in marriage to Brenda Wade who survives.
In addition to his wife he is survived by two sons, Adrian Rodgers of Charleston and Brandon Lane of Sikeston, two daughters and one son-in-law, Natissia and Terence Small of St. Louis and Alicia Rodgers of Charleston, nine brothers, Willie Curtis of Bowie, MD, Ray Rodgers of Rock Island, IL, Fred Rodgers and Bobby Moore of Charleston, Lenzie Rodgers of Mounds, IL, Michael Rodgers of Ypsilanti, MI, Sherdell Briggs of Iowa City, IA, Rev. Wiley Reed of Cape Girardeau and Tommy Briggs of Iowa , eight sisters, Diane Gorden and Delmarie Moore of St. Louis, Olestine Howard, Amanda Williams, Cindy Rodgers, Barbara Moore, Shirley Moore and Rose Graham of Charleston, 16 grandchildren and host of other relatives and friends.
Friends may call Saturday, July 14, 2012 from 10:00 A. M. until the funeral hour of 11:00 A. M. at United Methodist Church in Charleston, Missouri. Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.
