Mandy Hamilton-Howard

Mandy Hamilton Howard, affectionately known as Maudie, 90, resident of Cairo, Illinois, died August 13, 2012 at Day Star Care Center in Cairo. She was born December 22, 1921 in Coldwater, Mississippi to the late Cori and Minnie Clemmons Hamilton.

She was a member of New Beginning United Freewill Baptist Church of Cairo under the leadership of Bishop Paul Jones, where she served faithfully as President of the Mission Unit, Mother Board and church trustee. Maudie retired from St. Mary Hospital in Cairo as a laundry worker.

She is survived by one sister-in-law, Ophelia Hamilton of Fort Wayne, Indiana, several nephews, nieces, cousins, God-sons, God-daughters and many friends.

Friends may call Saturday, August 18, 2012 from 11:00 am until the funeral hour of 12:00 noon at New Beginning United Freewill Baptist Church with Bishop Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Green Lawn Memorial Gardens in Villa Ridge, Illinois.
