Charles E Hines

Charles E. Hines, Sr., 67, affectionately known as “Unc”, resident of Charleston died Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012 at his residence. He was born November 22, 1944 in Sikeston to the late Tony and Samella Lloyd Hines.
He was employed in agriculture and of the Baptist faith.
He was united in marriage to Cora Johnson who survives.
In addition to his wife he is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Katrina Hines, Jr. of Joliet, IL, two brothers, Clifford Hines and John Joseph Hines of Charleston, two sisters, Verlyn Davis of Seattle, WA and Sandra Atchison of Charleston, a special niece with whom he lived, Aretha Sherrell , of Charleston ,nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Friends may call Friday, September 28, 2012 from 11:00 A. M. until the funeral hour of 12:00 noon at the Bowden Civic Center in Charleston with Rev. Sylvester Davis officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston
