Almeter Marshall, 84, resident of Sikeston died September 25, 2012 at the Sikeston Convalescent Center. She was born April 8, 1928 in Earle, Arkansas to the late Mioni White and Pernella Mosley.
She was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Sikeston where she served on the Mothers’ Board.
On December 12, 1944 she was united in marriage to Edgar Lee Marshall, Sr. who survives.
In addition to her husband she is survived by six sons and five daughters-in-law; Edgar Lee Jr. (Pearlean) Marshall, Henry Lee Marshall and Matthew Lee (Shirley) Marshall of Sikeston, Richard Lee (Helen) Marshall of Kerrville, TX, Leroy (Joyce) Marshall of Altaloma, California and Monroe (Regina) Marshall of Bellville, IL, two daughters and sons-in-law, Lessie Mae (Joe) Barnett of Memphis, TN and Treasa (Bob) Hunter of Mansfield, OH, two sisters, Dorothy Mae Davis and Evangelist Sarah Echols of Milwaukee, WS, 50 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Friends may call Saturday, September 29, 2012 from 11:00 A. M. until the funeral hour of 12:00 noon at the Cornerstone Baptist Church in Sikeston with the pastor, Rev. L. J. Nabors officiating.
Interment will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston
