Richard Harris

Richard Harris, 87, resident of Cairo, IL died Thursday, October 25, 2012 at the Daystar Care Center in Cairo. He was born September 19, 1925 in Alexander County to the late Chester and Lucille Johnson Harris.
He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Raymond and Debra Davis of Chicago, IL, two daughters and one son-in-law Beverly and William Holmes of Glenwood, IL, and Denise Harris of Harvey, IL., one brother, Chester Harris of Chicago, one sister, Viola Harris of Chicago, five grand-children: Beverly Simmons, Glenda McFadden, Edward Harris, Christopher Davis, and Jaleecia Harris, five great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Friends may call Friday, November 2, 2012 from 11:00 A. M. until the funeral hour 12:00 Noon at New Beginning United Freewill Baptist Church located at 1413 Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue in Cairo with the pastor, Bishop Paul Jones officiating. Interment will follow in the Spencer Heights Cemetery in Mounds.
