Gwendolyn Thomas - Scott, 37, resident of Sikeston died October 25, 2012 at the St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis. She was born January 1, 1975 in Charleston, MO to the late Clarence and Queen Ester Epps Thomas.
She was employed by Bertrand Nursing Home and attended Life Church in Sikeston.
On February 9, 2012 she was united in marriage to Walter Lee Scott who survives.
In addition to her husband she is survived by two sons, Ky’Ree Coleman and Victwon Riley of Sikeston, one daughter, Jasmin Thomas of Sikeston, twelve brothers, Danny Thomas, Dennis Thomas, Jonathan Thomas, Alvin Scott and Bobby Scott of Charleston, Sylvester Epps and Ray Scott of Chicago, George Thomas of St. Louis, Marvin Scott of Cape Girardeau, Eric Thomas and Aaron Thomas of Sikeston, and Fred Scott of Rockford, IL, six sisters, Annie Bell, Angela Thomas, Danita Thomas, Mary Farmer and Vergie Henry of Charleston and Elsie White of Chicago, one grand-daughter, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Friends may call Saturday, November 3, 2012 from 11:00 A. M. until the funeral hour of 12:00 noon at First Baptist Church in Charleston with Rev. Charles Epps officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery with Williams Funeral Home of Charleston in charge of arrangements.
