Roberta Sloan, 102, resident of Charleston Manor Nursing Facility, formerly of Wilson City, Missouri died November 21, 2012 at the Manor. She was born April 27, 1910 in Darling, Mississippi to the late Evrett and Opaelia Branch and had lived in Missouri since 1921.
She was a member of Holly Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Wyatt, Missouri.
She was married to Buck Zingo Sloan who preceded her in death.
She is survived by five sons, William Sloan, Lindsey Sloan, Larry Sloan, and Jimmy Sloan of Wyatt and Frank Sloan of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, two daughters and one son-in-law, Essie and Freddie Greer of Wilson City, and Ophelia Locust of Milwaukee, a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, great-great-great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Friends may call Saturday, November 24, 2012 from 12:00 noon until the funeral hour at 1:00 P.M. at House of Prayer World Outreach Center , 216 North Elm Street in Charleston with Pastor Ronald A. Sloan Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.
