Bruce Elliot Brown

Bruce E. Brown, 63, resident of Sikeston, died Friday, December 7, 2012 at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. He was born August 10, 1949 in Charleston to the late Willie and Willie Pearl Crafton Brown.

He was employed by the Charleston Public School in the food service department and was formerly employed by the Gates Rubber Company in Charleston.

He is survived by four sons, Fonte’ Mixon, Jordy Mixon and Marcus (LaShonda) Robinson of Sikeston and Byron Henderson of Charleston, two daughters, Tonya (Favis) Wilson of Charleston and Rita Edwards of Detroit, one brother, Jeffrey Brown of Charleston, two sisters, Florence Dixon of Charleston and Brenda Ross of Park Forrest, IL, a special friend, Daisy Mixon of Sikeston, 18 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephew, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Friends may call Saturday, December 15, 2012 from 12:00 noon until the funeral hour of 1:00 P. M. at Opportunity Church of God in Christ in Charleston with the pastor, Elder Steve Betts officiating.

Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston with the Williams Funeral Home of Charleston in charge of arrangements.
