Nicholas DeShaun Gilbert 32, resident of Sikeston died Sunday, December 16, 2012 the result of a gun shoot wound in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. He was born February 10, 1980 in Stuggart, Arkansas the son of Kevin Dolphin of Allport, Arkansas and Charlie King of Atlanta, GA.

He attended Sikeston Senior High School and Lincoln College of Technology in Marietta, GA and was currently employed at Oldcastle Manufacturing in Sikeston. He was also a member of Travelers Rest Missionary Baptist Church in Sikeston.

In addition to his parents he is survived by three sons, Marlon Davis, Nicholas Gilbert, Jr. and Nic’ Kevion Gilbert of Sikeston, three daughters, Nakeebia Davis, Chermesha Gilbert and Deshuna Davis of Sikeston, his paternal grandmother, Rutherlee Dolphin of Allport, four brothers, Kelvin King of Sikeston and Marco Raynor, Corbin Noble and J. R. Dolphin of Allport, Arkansas, one sister, Natishia Reed of Allport, his fiancé, Crystal Nicole Hart of Sikeston, and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Friends may call Saturday, December 22, 2012 from 12:00 noon until the funeral hour of 1:00 P. M. at West End MB Church in Sikeston with Rev. Henry Holloway of St. Louis officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Garden Cemetery in Sikeston with the Williams Funeral Home of Sikeston in charge of arrangements.
