Jimmie Dee Jackson, 61, resident of Charleston, died January 19, 2013 at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Missouri. He was born September 14, 1951 in Blytheville, Arkansas to the late Harrison and Mary Jackson and has lived in Missouri most of his life.
He was a truck driver for many years and was currently employed by RJS Burke Partnership of Charleston.
He was a member of Grand Avenue Seventh Day Adventist Church.
He was united in marriage to Quender Goodin on September 1, 2012 who survives of the home.
He is also survived by seven sons and three daughters-in-law, Jimmy and Lisa Jackson Jr. of Decatur, Illinois, Derrick Whitney and Leon and Sheila Nelson of Charleston, Robert Jackson of Coleman, Alabama, Tylon Rodgers of Bloomington, Illinois, Grover and Classy Johnson of Memphis, Tennessee, five daughters, Danika Jackson of St. Joseph, Missouri, Jennifer Gillespie of Flint, Michigan, Delanda Jackson of Delaware, Janea Goodin of Memphis and Bridgette Goodin of El Cajon, California, three brothers, James Jackson and Harrison Jackson, Jr. of Charleston, and Ray Jackson of Kankakee, Illinois, six sisters, Doris Starks and Harriet Jackson of Charleston, Betty Shaw of DeKalb, Illinois, Mary Ann Clay and Joann Moore of Aurora, Illinois, and Princess Jackson of Texas, 21 grandchildren, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives, and many friends.
Friends may call Friday, January 25, 2013 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Williams Funeral Home in Charleston. Funeral Services will be Saturday, January 26, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at Opportunity Church of God in Christ with Elder Steve Betts officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
