Bishop Stafford Lee Moore, Sr., 60, resident of Cape Girardeau died January 26, 2013 at the St. Francis Medical Center. He was born January 6, 1953 in Cape Girardeau to the late Joseph and Creasie Nunley Moore.
He was employed by Procter and Gamble Company in Jackson, MO for over 27 years and was a veteran of the United States Navy receiving an honorable discharge.
He was the current pastor of Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau and Bishop of House of Prayer World Outreach Centers in Charleston and Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
He was united in marriage to Shelly Ware who survives of the home.
In addition to his wife he is survived by three sons, Kenya, Stafford Jr. (Kenosha) and Octavius Moore of Cape, two brothers, Joseph and Micheal Moore of Cape, four sisters, Rose Harris and Carol Archie of Cape, and Ernestine Pamilton and Deronda Swan of Texas, three grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
Friends may call Saturday, February 2, 2013 from 9:00 a. m. until the funeral hour of 10:30 a. m. at Cape LaCroix Church located at 3102 Lexington Ave. in Cape Girardeau with Apostle Anthony Green officiating.
Interment will follow in Fairmont Cemetery in Cape Girardeau with full military honors with Williams Funeral Home of Charleston in charge of arrangements.
