Josephine Haney

August 8, 1927 — February 11, 2013

Josephine Haney, 85, resident of Howardville was dead on arrival to Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston on Monday February 11, 2013. She was born August 8, 1927 in Salisbury, TN to Sam and Molly Hammer and had lived in Missouri for over 60 years.

She was a member of Good Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Marston where she was a member of the choir.

She was united in marriage to Clifton Haney who preceded her in death.

She is survived by five sons; Charles Haney of Fort Wayne, IN, Douglas Haney and Ricky Haney of Howardville, Dewayne Haney and Gary Haney of Cape Girardeau, four daughters, Minnie Johnson and Joyce Thomas of Fort Wayne, and Michelle Hopkins and Betty Roston of Portageville, two sisters, Icyeana Bowden of St. Joe, CA and Barbara Warren of Chicago, 34 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Friends may call Saturday, February 16, 2013, from 11:00 A. M. until the funeral hour of 1:00 P. M. at New Madrid Baptist Church located at 1240 Scott Street with Rev. Kirk Dunnavant, pastor of Good Hope officiating.

Interment will follow in the Mason Cemetery in Point Pleasant, Missouri with the Williams Funeral Home of Howardville in charge of arrangements.
