John Charles Nickerson

John Charles Nickerson, 59, resident of Catron, Missouri died April 8, 2013 at The Close to Home Nursing Center in Matthews, Missouri. He was born June 19, 1953 in Catron to Bertha Nickerson Chism of Catron and the late Charley C. Nickerson.

He was a graduate of Lilbourn High School Class of 1969 and was of the Baptist faith. He was honorably discharged from the United States Marine Corps.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his daughter, Chantina Nickerson of Mobile, Alabama, his ex-wife, Shirley Nickerson of Birmingham, Alabama, two brothers, Ralph Payne and Jim Daniel of Indianapolis, Indiana, five sisters, Regina Martin of Chicago, Illinois, Rebecca Payne of Atlanta, Georgia, Stacy Daniel of Lilbourn, Missouri, Pat Daniel of Carbondale, Illinois, and Bernice Nickerson of Wisher, Louisiana, two grandsons, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Friends may call Saturday, April 13, 2013 from 11:00a.m. until the funeral hour of 12:00 noon at First Baptist Church of Catron with Pastor, Reverend Richard Houston officiating. Interment will be in Simmons Park Cemetery in Catron with full military honors.
