Robert Jackson Jr.

Robert Jackson, Jr., resident of Columbia, formerly of Charleston died May 2, 2013 at his home. He was born December 21, 1954 in Dorena, MO to the late Robert Bruce and Mattie B. Purifoy Jackson, Sr.

He was a 1975 graduate of Charleston High School and was employed for over 15 years with the Murphysboro, Illinois School District.

He is survived by three sons, Robert Jackson, III of Murphysboro, and Anthony Whitfield and Lamar Whitfield of Decatur, IL three daughters, Tiffani (Avery) Hightower of Charleston, and Brittany Whitfield and Wanda Whitfield of Decatur, six brothers, Ray Jackson and Roy Jackson of Charleston, Kidd Jackson of Columbia, Oliver Jackson of Tempe, AZ, and Quincy Jackson and Kendrick Jackson of Paducah, KY, two sisters, Ann Jackson of Cahokia, IL and Betty Cooper of Charleston, six grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Friends may call Saturday, May 11, 2013, from 12:00 noon until the funeral hour of 1:00 P. M. at the Williams Funeral Chapel in Charleston with Pastor Veronica Dunigan officiating.
