Roosevelt Carolina

Roosevelt Carolina, 76, resident of Sikeston, formerly of Hempstead, NY, died Thursday, June 13, 2013 at his home. He was born June 21, 1936 in Manning, South Carolina to the late Flander and Louise Carolina, Sr.

He was formerly employed by the New York Transit System and was a veteran of the United States Air Force receiving an honorable discharge in 1957.

He was a member of Glory of God Church of God in Christ in Sikeston.

He was united marriage to Louise Madrey who also precedes him in death on October 29, 1989.

He is survived by one son, Reginald Carolina of Hempstead, two daughters, Diane Carolina of Elmont, NY and Bessie Mae Carolina Doran Hempstead NY, ten step children, Larry Madrey of Chesapeake, Virginia, Sandra Mullins of Queens, NY, , Barry Madrey, Gregory Madrey, Terry Madrey of Hempstead, Clyde Madrey of Atlanta, GA, Michael Allen of Baltimore MD, Jerri Madrey of Elizabeth, New Jersey, and Marvin Madrey and Marilyn Madrey of Brooksfield, FL, longtime friend with whom he lived, Martha Bobo of Sikeston two brothers, Louis Carolina of Baltimore and Tommy Carolina of Philadelphia, PA, three sisters, Pauline Taylor, Daisy Alexander and Delores Stewart of Baltimore and four grandchildren.

Friends may call Thursday, June 20, 2013 from 11:00 AM until the funeral hour of 12:00 noon at Glory of God Church of God in Christ with the pastor, Dr. Elisha Pullen officiating. Interment will follow in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield with full military honors.
