Marjorie Inez Smith

Marjorie Inez Smith, 86, resident of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, August 8, 2013 at her home. She was born April 9, 1927 in Jackson, Missouri to the late Albert and Zella Sheppard Wade.

She was united in marriage to Vernal L. Smith who also precedes her in death also one son, Perry Wade and one daughter, Helen L. Ayers.

She was a member of St. John’s AME Church in Jackson until its closing. She later joined Lighthouse Breakthrough International Ministries in Cape Girardeau.

She is survived by one daughter, Joan A. Ayers of Cape Girardeau, one son and daughter-in-law, Vernal E. and Ivory Smith of California, a grandson whom she raised, Bruce E. Smith of Cape Girardeau, one brother, Billy (Joyce) Wade of Cape Girardeau and a host of other relatives and friends.

Friends may call Thursday, August 15, 2013 from 11:00 A. M. until the funeral time of 12:00 noon at Greater Dimension Ministries in Cape Girardeau with Apostle Adrian Taylor, Jr. officiating.

Interment will follow in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson with Williams Funeral Home of Charleston in charge of arrangements.
