Rev. Richard Fisher, 62, resident of Charleston died September 6, 2013 in Michigan City, IN, at Franciscan St. Anthony Health Center. He was born January 23, 1951 in rural Wyatt to the late Lloyd Pratt and Vertie B. Fisher-Dowell.
He was a member of Mercy Seat Baptist Church in Charleston where he served as a Sunday School Teacher.
He is survived by one son; Craig Fisher of Lagrange, GA, two daughters, Tiffany Fisher of Savannah, GA and Makalia Fisher of Lagrange, four brothers, Otha Fisher of Michigan City, Terry Dowell of Fort Wayne, IN, Lloyd Pratt, Jr. of Cape Girardeau and Johnny Pratt of Carbondale, IL, 17 sisters, Vertie Mae Dowell, Verline Dowell and Yvonne Dowell of Charleston, Lori Ann Dowell of Austell, GA, Valone Greer and Alice Dowell of Michigan City, Rosemary Clark of Wilson City, Donna Pratt of Como, MS, Octavia Pratt and Wanda Pratt of Sandusky, IL, Erssie Pratt and Darcy Pratt of South Carolina, Susie Pratt of Carbondale, Lottie Pratt of Los Angeles, CA and Bridgett Pratt, Neicy Pratt and Louise Pratt of California, his step mother, Annie Pratt of Sandusky and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Friday, September 13, 2013 from 6:00 – 7:00 P. M. at the Williams Funeral Chapel in Charleston. Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday, September 14, 2013 at 1:00 P. M. at the Bowden Civic Center in Charleston with Rev. Arthur Cassell officiating.
Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.
