Nyketia L. Johnson-Lott, 26, resident of Sikeston died September 12, 2013 at her home. She was born December 4, 1986 in Southfield, MI to the late Calvin E. Johnson and Theresa Jones of Sikeston.
She was a 2005 graduate of Scott County Central High School where she played basketball and earned a scholarship to Shawnee Community College in Ullin, IL.
A veteran of the United States Army, she served for 3 years and received an honorable discharge. Nyketia was currently employed as a correctional officer at the Southeast Correctional Center in Charleston.
She was a member of New Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church in Haywood City for many years and recently became a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Sikeston.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by one son, Iziah Williams of Sikeston, four brothers, Ivy Joe Robinson of Cape Girardeau, Cleo Suggs of Indianapolis, IN, Calvin Suggs of Elkhart, IN and Kevin Johnson of Detroit, MI, two sisters, Kaneika Jones of St. Louis and Camery Davis of Sikeston, her maternal grandmother, Sarah Lee Banks Jones Woodson and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Friends may call Saturday, September 21, 2013 from 11:00 A. M. until the funeral hour of 12:00 noon at New Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church in Haywood City with the pastor, Rev. Alex Sims officiating.
Interment will follow in the Haywood City Cemetery with full military honors by the Missouri Honor Guard.
