Murlean Eckles

Murlean Eckles, 77, resident of Sikeston died Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at her home. She was born January 15, 1936 in Sunflower Lake, MS to the late Will and Francis Gladney and had lived in Missouri for over 45 years.

She was a member of Green Memorial Church of God in Christ in Sikeston where she was a member of the Mother’s Board. She was also a member of Scott County Senior Citizens on the Move.

She is survived by five sons and three daughters-in-law; Hosie and Joyce Gladney and Leslie Joe and Hazel Eckles of Memphis and Henry Eckles, Michael Eckles and Joseph Eckles of Sikeston, two daughter and sons-in-law, Prince and Steve Gibson of St. Louis and Ennis “Bonnie” and Billy Ray of Sikeston, 23 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

Friends may call Saturday, November 30, 2013 from 12:00 noon until the funeral hour of 1:00 p. m. at Green Memorial Church of God in Christ with Pastor Charlie Green III officiating.

Interment will be Sunday, December 1, 2013 in Mt. Olive Cemetery in Dundee, MS with the Williams Funeral Home of Sikeston in charge of arrangements.
