Annie (Ann) Louise Taylor Conner, affectionately known as Ms. Mouchie, 74, resident of Howardville, died December 14, 2013 at her daughter’s home in Columbia, Missouri. She was born October 31, 1939 in Memphis, Tennessee to the late Walter Taylor and Ethel Beatrice Moore.
Annie graduated from O’Bannon High School in New Madrid in 1958. She furthered her education by attending Crane Technical College, Marion Business College and SEMO State University.
She was the Lilbourn East High/Howardville High School and Howardville Elemetary School Secretary for 24 years. She was also Secretary for the City of Howardville for 24 years.
Annie was a member of First Baptist Church of Howardville where she served as Church Secretary, Sunday School Teacher and Secretary of the Missionary Society.
She is survived by one son and and one daughter-in-law, Wavely Darryl and Medea Conner of Columbia, one daughter, Sonya Lynelle Conner of Columbia, one step-son, Steven Wheeler of Flint, Michigan, two step-daughters, Louise Pullen of Sikeston, Missouri and Gwendolyn Thomas of Los Angeles, California, one brother, William Gray of Denver, Colorado, two sisters, Eddie Mae Conner of Elkhart, Indiana and Marilyn Durden of Chicago, Illinois, one son-in-law, Sedrick Hemphill of Chicago, Illinois, 16 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and many friends.
Friends may call Saturday, December 21, 2013 from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour of 12:00 noon at New Madrid Baptist Church with Reverend Coyvell Jackson officiating. Interment will follow in Mason Cemetery in Point Pleasant, Missouri.
