Irma Mae Winford

Irma Mae Winford, 72, resident of Howardville was dead on arrival at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston on January 1, 2014. She was born December 5, 1941 in Turrell, AR to the late Eddie and Corrine Harris Walker.

She was a member of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Lilbourn where she served on the Usher’s Board, Mother’s Board and the Kitchen Aide Committee. She was also a member of the singing group, Heaven Bound.

She is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law, Archie and Zelma Winford, Jr. of Howardville, Leroy and Felicia Winford of New Madrid and Andre and Malicia Winford of St. Louis, three daughters and three sons-in-law, Elise and Vaughn Shepherd of Marston, Ulonda and Carl Winford Wilson of Cape Girardeau and Latrina and Isaac Cooper of New Madrid, three sisters, Eddie Mae Sanders of New Madrid, Corrine Folks and Johnnie Turner of Fort Wayne, IN, her ex-husband, Archie Winford, Sr. of Sikeston, 19 grand-children, 14 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Friends may call Saturday, January 11, 2014 from 11:00 A. M. until the funeral hour of 12:00 noon at Miracle Temple Church of God in Christ in Portageville with Pastor Earl Grissom officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery in New Madrid with the Williams Funeral Home of Howardville in charge of arrangements.
