Elsie Kellum King

February 14, 1923 — January 30, 2014

Elsie Kellum King, 90, resident of Sikeston, formerly of Colp, Illinois, died January 30, 2014 at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. She was born February 14, 1923 in Haynes, Arkansas to the late George and Louella James Miller.

She was employed by Herrin Memorial Hospital for 33 years as a Certified Nurse’s Assistant and a former member of Holy Temple Church of God in Christ in Colp.

She was currently a member of Glory of God Church of God in Christ where she was Church Mother and a member of the Pastors Aid Committee.

She was united in marriage to Joe Eddie Kellum in 1950 that preceded her in death. A son, Eddie Kellum also precedes her in death.

She was later united in marriage to Robert King who survives.

In addition to her husband she is survived by two sons and two daughters-in-law, Vernell Hopkins and Donnell and Marietta Kellum of Colp, and Vickie Kellum of Chattanooga, TN, two daughters and one son-in-law, Katherine and William Henry of Bell City and Barbara Kellum of Cape Girardeau, 24 grandchildren, 51 great grandchildren, eight great great grandchildren, four great great great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Friends may call Friday, February 7, 2014 from 6:00 p. m. – 8:00 p. m.

at Glory of God Church of God in Christ located at 219 Edmondson in Sikeston. Funeral services are schedule for Saturday, February 8, 2013 at 1:00 p. m. at Green Memorial Church of God in Christ in Sikeston with Dr. Elisha Pullen officiating.

Interment will follow in the J. C. Pullen Memorial Garden in Bell City with the Williams Funeral Home of Sikeston in charge of arrangements
