Barry Lloyd Porter

Barry Lloyd Porter, 70 resident of Sikeston, formerly of Kalamazoo, MI, died February 07, 2014 at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. He was born October 14, 1943 in South Bend, IN to the late Preston and Ethel Warren Porter.

He was a former employee of General Motors and was a hard worker and a handyman.

Barry loved the Lord and was of the Baptist faith. He also enjoyed drawing and playing the keyboard. He certainly be remember for his great warm smile.

In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by his brothers, Nolan Foster, Warren Lee Foster, Leroy Porter, Preston Junior Porter, Lindsey Porter and Harry Porter

He is survived by two sons, Berry Porter (Carmen Dungey) of Flint, MI,and Dointa Porter (Aaron Lobley) of Newbern, TN, two daughters, Alicia Porter and Catherine (Marcus) Porter Adams of Flint, three sisters,
Francine (Pat) Patterson of Pontiac, MI, Francis (Richard) Perry of Flint, and Geraldine and Clarence Youmans of Stone Mountain, GA, 12 grandchildren, six great grandchildren, special friends, Pastor Monroe Davis and Brother Monroe Bean and a host of other relatives and friends.

A memorial service was held Saturday, February 15, 2014 at House of Refuge Church of God in Christ in Sikeston with Elder Monroe Davis officiating.
