Amy Marie Henderson, affectionately called “Marie”, 82, resident of Charleston died Thursday, April 24, 2014 at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born November 11, 1931 in Wyatt to the late Roy and Elnora Lee Henderson.
She was a former employee of by Host House in Charleston as a Certified Nurse’s Assistance and was a former cook at Grandma’s Kitchen in Charleston.
She was a member of Ollie Grove Baptist Church in Wilson City where she served on the Mothers Board.
She is survived by four sons and a daughter-in-law, Eddie Lee Henderson, John Wesley Henderson and Eli Henderson of Charleston and Charles and Denise Henderson of Dalton, IL, and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Friends may call Saturday, May 3, 2014 from 12:00 noon until the funeral hour of 1:00 P. M. at the Bowden Civic Center in Charleston with Rev. Melvin and Bridgette Williams officiating.
