Aretha Lachelle Sherrell

Aretha Lachelle Sherrell, 42, affectionately known as “Chelle”, resident of Charleston died May 30, 2014 at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. She was born May 9, 1972 in Sikeston to Mozell Sherrell, Sr. of San Diego, CA and Verlyn Jean Hines Sherrell Davis of Seattle, WA.

She was a 1990 graduate of the Charleston High School, a member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Henson, Missouri and employed by VNA as a homemaker.

In addition to her parents she is survived by two sons; Lavellshawn and Keisha Sherrell and Jerquawn and Ajami Sherrell of Charleston , one daughter, Jerquawnda Sherrell of Charleston, three brothers, John Sherrell of Wilson City, MO, Mozell Sherrell, Jr, of Charleston and Tony Sherrell of Sikeston, one sister, Tasha Sherrell of Cairo, seven grandchildren and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Friends may call Thursday, June 5, 2014 from 6:00 P. M. – 8:00 P. M. at the Williams Funeral Home in Charleston. Funeral services will Friday, June 6, 2014 at 2:00 P. M. at the Opportunity Church of God in Christ in Charleston with Rev. Sylvester Davis officiating.

Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.
