Lisa Sue Matthews

Lisa Sue Matthews, 36, resident of Cairo, died June 28, 2014 at her home. She was born November 27, 1977 in Carbondale, IL to the late Sadie Matthews and Robert Matthews, Sr. of Cairo.

She was a graduate of Cairo High School and Shawnee Community College in Ullin, Illinois and was a former employee of Tip Learning Tree in Cairo. She was also a member of First Missionary Baptist Church in Cairo where she served on the Usher’s Board.

In addition to her father, she is survived by three brothers, Robert Matthews, Jr. and Timothy Taylor of Cairo and Cedric Logan of Lexington, TN and a host of nieces, nephews, uncle, aunts, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Friends may call Monday, July 7, 2014 from 11:00 A. M. until the funeral hour of 1:00 P. M. at First Missionary Baptist Church in Cairo with the pastor, Rev. Jimmy Ellis officiating.

Interment will follow in Spencer Heights Cemetery with Williams Funeral Home of Charleston in charge of arrangements
